Being a photographer isn't just a job to me. Instead, the art of photography is a lifestyle that provides me with a space to express, evoke emotions, share stories and inspire others.
I have always had a passion for photography and the simple process of pausing a moment to savor it and later connect a viewer to that same emotion. My journey with photography began when I was sixteen, documenting the thrills of freestyle BMX by creating motion content with friends. At the time, my bike was my life, and although I enjoyed combining both my hobbies together in a creative way, I didn't know where this interest would later take me.
Years later, I found myself sailing across seas on operation with the Royal New Zealand Navy, where I continued taking pictures, creating videos, and documenting our voyages. Shortly after, I left the navy to chase a career of my own, and my passions led me to train in photography. I began my career as a qualified professional photographer training in a studio environment. Fast forward to the present, I’m lucky enough to now travel to parts of our country and abroad, meet talented people, and work with some inspiring brands to help them capture their vision. When I have a moment away from being behind the lens, you can usually find me anywhere outdoors; climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or kayaking.
My portfolio includes a variety of subjects and events that include lifestyle, travel, music, portraiture, and action sports. In my pursuit to ever-expand my experiences, I'm always looking to try new and exciting adventures, share and document stories.
